SpeaKing of venues, I just roadied for a gig at the Albert Hall this month (Albert Hall was a regular band venue over 25 years ago...), for a band called "Getaway Plan" .... the band was awesome, but what was more awesome was the venue, dunno what it takes to get something organised there, but the 400 strong turnout was something to behold!
Well the canberra gig scene seems to be going from strength to strength, with large turnouts to both fests at the basment, with Chaos ACT pulling in good crowds on both days and ACT Punk Fest pulling in a huge crowd for the single day event.... speaking of the basement, I've scored a heap of pics which have been uploaded to the basement website, so go have a look! THeres some classics amongst them and some amazing shots of some of canberra's and Australia's better hard edged live bands!
